Kids spend the mornings from 9 am-12 noon, exploring the National Historic Site, learning about the First Nations culture and animals important to our history. Tuesday through Friday the kids are able to eat their snacks in a new location such at the Hudson Bay Company York Boat, play in the fort and hear stories told in the tipi.
This camp is a great hit and we're happy to offer it twice each summer.
Here at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site, the Confluence Heritage Society staff work hard to make the Junior Explorer camp fun, educational, and safe for campers. Each half day focuses on a different subject (First Nations, animals, fur trade, etc.), and is delivered in various manners (storytelling, crafts, games, presentations).
Please note the program repeats, so please only register for the morning OR the afternoon.
Packed in a backpack all kids should bring:
$50 per session. Space is limited, please register early.
