Hello, Bonjour! I am Lauren Bolton,

I was born and raised in Rocky Mountain House.

I have returned from my first year of college to be the Confluence Heritage Society's summer camp coordinator for 2016. I will be continuing my post-secondary schooling at Red Deer College in the fall for

my Bachelor of Elementary Education, which happens to be the greatest career path ever (I have a biased opinion)! Since I have decided on a profession that is centered around children, I could not be more excited to spend my days this summer doing all sorts of fun, creative, outdoor activities with them!

There will be all sorts of fun camps offered for a variety of age groups here at the Rocky Mountain House National Historic Site this summer.

There are 3 English camps for ages 7-11, that will take place on July 5-8, 26-29, and August 2-5. The French camps will take place on July 12-15, and August 16-19 for ages 7-11. There is also a younger camp for children ages 4-6, it is called 'Junior Explorers', on July 19-22. Last but not least, is the 'Coureurs des Bois' camp on August 9-12 for the older children of ages 11-14. Each camp is going to be a blast, I can not wait!

Here are some random facts for everyone to get to know me a little bit better!

    • If I could, I would spend a couple months each year traveling to places near and far, experiencing as much as I can.
    • I love spending time outdoors, hiking, relaxing, and exploring. During the summer I try to go to the beach or river as much as I can to cool off.
    • Doing yoga is one way that I like de-stress, but it's also how I get some physical activity.
    • Not only do I love the outdoors but I love people. I have a large admiration for children, they are just so interesting, curious and full of life, not to mention stinkin' adorable!

    • I am really looking forward to the exciting summer that lies ahead, can't wait to see you all at camp!
